Mr. Stevenson is a Bakersfield native with over a decade experience in public accounting. He began his career with the firm in 2007 and has been a shareholder since 2017.
As a certified public accountant, specializing in taxation compliance and tax planning, his areas of expertise include:
- Tax minimization planning and strategies for small businesses and family groups with an emphasis on the agriculture, manufacturing and investment industries.
- Long term planning for business succession with a focus on estate tax minimization and control issues.
- International compliance and planning for United States residents looking to invest in activities outside of the United States and its territories.
Mr. Stevenson graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and in Finance from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
He is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA). Mr. Stevenson currently serves as the president of the CalCPA Bakersfield Chapter and he is a councilman to the CalCPA State Board. He previous served as the vice president of the CalCPA Bakersfield Chapter. He has lectured at continuing professional education seminars at the state and local levels for CalCPA’s California Education Foundation.
Mr. Stevenson is actively involved with California State University, Bakersfield as a member of the Accounting Advisory Group and a frequent guest speaker for various accounting classes. He is heavily involved in the firm’s recruiting efforts and spends time with students offering career advice.
Mr. Stevenson enjoys power sports, camping, and spending time with his wife and four children.
